Our Purpose
Operation Hope DSM was created to address a critical gap in the healthcare system:
When a patient is medically cleared for discharge but has no safe place to go.
Too often, individuals are discharged into unstable or unsafe environments, increasing the risk of poor outcomes and hospital readmissions.
We provide a safe, structured housing option that supports a stable transition after discharge.
What makes us different
• Clear admission criteria aligned with hospital discharge needs
• Structured, safe shared housing environments
• Fast referral review and placement coordination
• Defined expectations for residents and partners
• Consistent communication with case managers
Founder's Story
Operation Hope DSM was founded by Mendora Kimbrough, driven by both lived experience and a professional background in protecting vulnerable individuals.
After experiencing housing instability early in life, Mendora built a career focused on risk prevention and supporting individuals in high-risk situations.
Operation Hope DSM was created to provide a safe, structured housing option for individuals leaving hospitals without a safe place to go.
*Operation Hope DSM is a non-medical housing provider. We do not provide clinical care, supervision, or medical services.
Our mission is to provide safe, stable, structured housing for individuals who are medically cleared but lack a safe place to transition after discharge.
We are committed to supporting dignity, stability, and successful next-step placement.
Our vision is to become a trusted housing partner for hospitals, case managers, and community providers by improving discharge outcomes, reducing delays, and supporting safe transitions.
